china

” In a few remote corners of China, two of France’s top winemakers have more on their minds than a trade row with their most promising export market.

In three far-flung provinces, a world away from Beijing’s allegations of European wine dumping, makers of such lofty French brands as Chateau Lafite-Rothschild and Dom Perignon champagne are investing millions of dollars to produce vintages they hope will put Chinese wine on the world map. “

The China has been always the ” promise land ” concerning manufacturing goods , cheap manpower , and also ” cheap and dangerous ” materials . We though that the food and beverage business was impossible to attack , because of  the quality and the prestigious of European food , mostly the Italian food and french food .

Actually , China , since is not really an expert market  in  wine , above all , is still a open and BIG market to help to grow up , not just ” bring the cheapest  wine bottle there and sell it , they don’t know much the difference between good and bad wine “. The growth margins are huge , but like i always say , if you don’t teach the chinese ( AND NOT ONLY ) how to drink and produce good wine , your market will never grow up , and the French are always thousand of steps forward us Italian in this case , seeing the light and taking a ” calculate ” risk before anybody else . They are not just sell wine there , but they want also teach how to make it , how to produce it , they want to create a good wine market also there .

In this case , you have three hot spots :

  1. Build up a new consciousness on the world of wine
  2. meanwhile produce good wines in a region which has never been famous for wine and become the benchmark of a new market
  3. Open a new door for the wines which come from your country where they have never been sold .

but take a look to the article i read , it is really helpful and let you understand better how the situation is evolving . Some time stumble upon on that ” artifacts ” is illuminating .  I will attach the URL now but i have to write one more thing that filled up in my mind just now that can let you figure out the difference between french and italian : some time ago , in a land famous for sparkling wine called prosecco , i heard from the mouth of the starring of this story , a thing like that : ” ahahahha and there were these indians who came to my winery some time ago , after a guide visit and a wine tasting they asked me if we can go in India and teach them how to produce sparkling wine !! “, ” well , i replied that i can sell my sparkling wine but we are not interested to teach you its production “.

In the Article that you , of course , will read , there is an explanation on how the famous wineries of Champagne such as Moet and Krug and others wanna TEACH the CHINESE MARKET to produce SPARKLING WINES .
